SAMMY DAVIS...   Sixty years in show business - Sammy Davis' career spans time and range of performing styles there, as well as a bevy of accomplishments and highlights.  These include a Royal Command Performance in London for Queen Elizabeth II, tours of Vietnam and  a "lifetime achievement in the performing arts" at the Kennedy Center Honors.
As the offspring of the lead dancer and lead chorus girl in a vaudeville troup, Sammy made his debut at four years old as the Will Mastin Trio. Years later, a solo performance on the "Ed Sullivan Show" brought serious recognition. Film roles followed in ANNA LUCASTA, PORGY AND BESS, THREE PENNY OPERA among many others. Comraderie with the Rat Pack, brought comedy roles in OCEAN'S ELEVEN, ROBIN AND THE SEVEN HOODS, SALT AND PEPPER and many more. Few will forget THE ULTIMATE EVENT with pals, Frank Sinatra and Liza Minelli
Sammy has been an inspiration to millions, but his dancer's soul has won him the admiration of generations of up and coming lovers of dance... performers and audiences alike.
